Chair Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 2+Classroom object
The child’s chair with the yellow seat — the chair is where a body learns to sit for stories, snacks and work, feet steady and back tall.

Say it together
“Chair! Sit on the chair. Bottom on the seat, feet on the floor, back tall like a tree. Look — sitting like a big kid! The chair holds you while you work.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Play "show me sitting": chair, floor, cushion — which one is the sitting spot? Then sit for one short story and stand up when it ends. Sitting well is a skill with a finish line, not a rule for the whole day.
Quick parent note
Expecting a three-year-old to sit still forever is a losing game — short, honest sittings work. Feet that reach the floor (or a box) make sitting comfortable enough to last.
