FLASHCARD SET · AGES 3–5 YEARS

Who Works at My School flashcards.

The people who make a school day work, card by card. Sixteen of them stand on these pages: the ones at the front of the room, the ones behind the lunch counter and the library shelf, and the ones at the doors, on the road and on the playground who keep the whole day safe. Every card opens onto its own page — what the job is, a game to play tonight and a download button for printing.

THE CARDS

Every card in the set.

Each card has its own page, and every card shows its age pill — start with the group that fits your child today.

People who teach

The faces at the front of the room: one for books, one for paint, one for songs, one for experiments, one for running games — and the student, because the school is really there for them.

People who help

The helpers your child meets between the bells: the nurse for a scraped knee, the librarian for the next book, the lunch counter, the mop, the watering can.

HOW TO USE THESE CARDS

Four ways that work.

You do not need a plan or a printer schedule. Pick one idea, try it for two minutes and see what happens.

  1. 01

    Guess who I am

Pick a card, act the job out — point at an invisible board, hold an invisible STOP sign, steer a big wheel — and let your child guess. Then swap roles. Acting a job is how a child understands it.

  2. 02

    Thank-you round

Spread five cards on the floor and ask: who would you thank for today? The cook for the apple, the bus driver for the ride, the gardener for the flowers. Gratitude gets concrete when it has a face.

  3. 03

    Who fixes this?

Ask little problems and let your child slap the right card: a wobbly tooth (nurse), a squeaky door (janitor), a dry plant (gardener), an empty tummy (cafeteria worker). Fast rounds, big giggles.

  4. 04

    Walk the school story

Lay the cards out in the order your child meets them on a real day: crossing guard, teacher, cafeteria worker, playground supervisor, bus driver. Every school has its own story — walk your child’s.

PRINT & DOWNLOAD
