Clock Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+Classroom object
The round clock with its two hands — the clock is the day drawn in a circle, and even before reading it, children can learn what its hands mean for them.

Say it together
“Clock! Round and round. The long hand runs fast, the short hand walks slow. When the hands say twelve, we eat lunch! When they say three, we tidy up!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Tie the clock to one real moment a day — "when the big hand is up top, snack time!" Say it, wait for it, celebrate when it arrives. One learned moment turns the clock from wall decoration into a promise.
Quick parent note
Clock sense grows from routine, not numerals: snack-o’clock comes first, half-past much later. A clock that is talked about is a clock a child will eventually want to read.
