X-Ray Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 4–5The check-up
An x-ray is a special picture of the inside of the body — the bones show up white, and nothing about it hurts at all.

Say it together
“X-ray! It takes a picture inside your body. Look — those are your BONES! The camera never touches you. Click, all done.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Look at hand x-rays together (a library book or a quick print) and find the finger bones. Wave at the picture — those bones wave back.
Quick parent note
The x-ray mostly stays a "maybe" card for a check-up — but naming it removes the mystery of the lead apron and the big machine in the hallway. A camera, nothing more.
