Cricket Flashcard for Toddlers
The cricket, the summer-evening musician. You hear it long before you see it — chirp, chirp, chirp — and finding the singer is a genuine detective game.
What this card is for
Gives the evening chirp an owner your child can point to proudly.
On the next walk
Pause on the doorstep after tea and hold a listening contest.
What it teaches
Sharpens ears for tiny sounds — the first step to real listening.
Print it like this
Keep it by the night light — bedtime material, this one.
Tip for today
Describe the sound together — is it jangly, scratchy, chirpy?
Teach it, step by step
