Cycling Flashcard for Preschoolers
Two wheels, round pedals and the wind in your face — cycling is the first machine a small person gets to drive all by themselves.

Say it together
“Cycling is riding your bike — helmet on first! Push the pedals round and round, and off you go down the path.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Practise the pedalling motion lying on the back, legs cycling the air — round and round, not up and down. Then helmet on, and out to the path or trike. The air-cycling game makes the real pedals feel already-known.
Quick parent note
Helmets are non-negotiable from the very first ride — the safety habit starts with training wheels, and a helmet worn at four is a helmet worn at fourteen.
