Diving Flashcard for Preschoolers
Hands together, body straight as a pencil — diving is the art of entering the water so neatly the splash is tiny.

Say it together
“Diving is jumping into the water hands first, straight as a pencil — arms squeeze the ears, toes pointed, SPLASH (a small one!).”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Practise the diver’s body on the carpet: arms up squeezing the ears, body tall, tip-toes, hold the pencil shape for three counts — then fall forward like a tree into the "water" (the sofa). The shape is the skill; the water can wait.
Quick parent note
The pencil shape does double duty: it is the diving entry AND the posture every jump and vault borrows. Small splash, big pride.
Teach it, step by step
