Potty Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 2–3Care time
The little blue chair with the yellow seat — the potty is the toddler’s own toilet, and meeting the WORD long before the TRAINING makes the whole adventure less scary.

Say it together
“Potty! This is the potty — your very own little chair. When you are ready, pee and poo go IN the potty. Big kid stuff!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Keep the word casual and cheerful months before training starts — point at the potty, name it, let a doll or teddy "sit" on it. On training days the card becomes the script: sit, wait, "well done, you!", empty, flush. Same words every time, zero drama.
Quick parent note
Potty learning is mostly a language project: the child needs the words before the skills. Families who name the potty early report fewer fears around the transition — the potty is an old friend by the time it matters.
