Age 2 YearsSubject Think & TalkClass Toddler 3Duration 3–5 minutes
At two, everyday life becomes a classroom: the red cup, the round plate, the square window. This class explores eight colors and seven shapes through a short sequence your toddler can join in — look at the cards together, play a few big-button find-it games, match a pair, then take the learning off screen and find colors and shapes around your home.
There is no reading required and nothing to test. You say the words, your toddler taps and points, and every round ends in encouragement, never a score. Short, playful sessions of three to five minutes are all it takes.
Start Today’s Class ↓Look, play, match, then head off screen. Short and playful wins.
TODAY’S CLASS
How today’s class works.
Six little steps, in order: a welcome from your teacher, learn colors, learn shapes, solve the sheets together, take it off screen, then print the activity pack if you’d like to continue away from the screen. Stop after any step — that is a complete class, and there is never a score at the end.

LEARN · COLORS
Learn colors together.
Show one card at a time and say the color clearly. The names on the screen are for you — your toddler does not need to read. After a card, pause and let the color sink in.
Card 1 of 8
Or simply scroll: all 8 cards are below.
LEARN · SHAPES
Learn basic shapes.
This is a circle. Look at the triangle. Names first, tracing second: little fingers can trace each shape in the air while you say the word.
Card 1 of 7
Or simply scroll: all 7 cards are below.
SOLVE THE SHEETS — ON PAPER OR ON SCREEN
Solve the colors and shapes pack together.
The printable pack turns this class into eight paper pages: the color cards, the shape cards, two match pages and two hunt pages. Print the pack once and this class keeps working all week — at the table, not on a screen.
01
Print the pack
Open the printable pack and print the eight pages. The card pages love thick paper, but any paper plays.
02
Name before cutting
Cut the color and shape cards out together, naming each one as it is cut — red, circle, blue, square. The cutting is the class.
03
Match the pages
On the match pages, lay each card on its twin and ask “which one goes here?”. One wrong guess is welcome — comparing two things is the thinking work.
04
Hunt on paper
On the hunt pages, circle every red thing, then every circle. A crayon is the right tool, and circling is the right skill.
Every card page has a Write & Color layer: your child can draw right on the card with a finger, a stylus or the mouse, then save the finished work. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
SHAPE COLORING FUN
Color every shape — right on the screen.
Twenty big, friendly coloring pages made for two-year-old hands: your child colors straight on the picture with a finger, a stylus or the mouse — pencil, crayons, eraser, undo and redo included. The picture sits on the left, the instructions sit beside it in read-aloud words, and every stroke is saved for your child in My Classroom so they can come back and keep coloring.
Prefer crayons on paper? Every picture also has a printable twin in the new Coloring Pages — Shapes library — download and print.
TAKE IT OFF SCREEN
Find colors and shapes around you.
The class continues away from the screen. Pick one or two hunts during the day and keep them playful — there is nothing to collect and nothing to prove.
Color hunt
Can you find something red?
Find something blue.
Can you spot something yellow?
Shape hunt
Can you find a circle in the room? A plate, a clock or a wheel is a good place to start.
Can you find something shaped like a rectangle? Try a book, a door or a box.
Keep hunts short and stay close by. Any noticing counts — naming one red thing together is a complete class.
There is a printable version of these hunts in the Download & Print pack below — handy for the fridge or the weekend.
DOWNLOAD & PRINT
Download & Print.
Continue the class away from the screen with printable color cards, shape cards, matching activities and simple hunts to explore together.

One last word from class.
“Colors and shapes are everywhere. Keep naming the ones you notice together today.”

A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
For the grown-ups.
Short, playful moments are enough. Use these printable activities whenever you’d like to continue exploring away from the screen.
Nice exploring colors and shapes together. However many rounds you played, however long it took, that was the whole class — and stopping early is allowed too.
Sit together in a comfortable spot and let your child hold or tap where they can. Start with the color cards, say each color clearly, and pause — the pause is where your toddler answers in their own way.
Keep the games light. A wrong tap is simply a chance to look together, and every round ends with encouragement rather than a score.
When the on-screen games are done, take the class off screen: hunt for colors and shapes around your home during an everyday moment.
There is no need to finish every section in one sitting, and no need for your toddler to name every color or shape.
Age ranges are a guide. Kiddo School age ranges are guides, not tests or developmental deadlines. Children learn at their own pace.
Your feedback helps us make Kiddo School better. This is feedback about the activity, for the grown-ups who make it — it is never about a child.
