Paramedic Worksheet for Ages 4–5
A community-helpers worksheet for ages 4–5: trace the word PARAMEDIC, match the paramedic to the ambulance, first-aid bag and bandage, circle the helper tools, count the bandages and draw an ambulance — on screen or on paper.
The full sheet, exactly as the artist drew it.
See the whole sheet, download the original file or print it from your browser. Want your child to solve it on screen first? The interactive version lives at preschool/4-years/community-helpers-and-our-neighborhood/worksheets/paramedic/ / — same sheet, drawing layer included.

The five steps on the sheet.
- 1
Trace
Trace the dotted word PARAMEDIC letter by letter — nine letters for a very fast helper.
- 2
Match
Draw a line from the paramedic to the ambulance, the first-aid bag and the bandage.
- 3
Circle
Six pictures sit in the grid — circle every one that helps a person who is hurt. Some of them belong in the kitchen or the toy box instead!
- 4
Count
Count the bandages, then write the number in the box.
- 5
Draw
Draw an ambulance in the big box — lights on top, wheels below, and a big friendly cross.
Before you start, have the words ready: A paramedic is a medical helper who comes fast when someone is hurt: the ambulance carries them and their equipment, the first-aid bag holds the tools, and a bandage protects a scrape while it heals. Paramedics check, calm, and take people to more help.
What this worksheet teaches.
Who paramedics are and how they rush to help, which tools treat a hurt person, and the big idea that calling for help is brave and smart — plus how to write the word PARAMEDIC.
Meeting the ambulance on paper turns the loudest siren into a friendly sound that means HELP IS COMING. The tools grid sorts real helper tools from household look-alikes, and the safety talk that comes with this sheet is one families never regret.

Tips, questions and practice.
Say before you start: "This is a paramedic — a helper who rushes to people who are hurt. Trace the name, then connect the ambulance, the first-aid bag and the bandage. Now the six pictures: which ones help an injured person? Count the bandages slowly, and then draw an ambulance with its lights shining."
Questions to ask: "What does the siren tell other cars?" "Which tools in the grid help someone who is hurt?" "What number do we call when we need help?" "Who are OUR grown-ups to run to in any emergency?"
Parent tips: Teach your child your local emergency number and their grown-ups’ real names — not just Mom and Dad — and rehearse it like a song. Paramedics are helpers, and knowing the plan makes children calm and brave, never scared.
Home practice: Pack a small family first-aid kit together and let your child place each thing in: bandages, wipes, a thermometer. Name every item like the sheet does — then rehearse the emergency plan once, calm and proud.
