Glue Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+Classroom object
The glue stick with the navy cap — glue is how separate pieces become one picture, and twisting the cap is half the fun.

Say it together
“Glue! Twist the cap… round and round. Dot, dot, dot on the back — press it down… push… pat! Stuck! The glue holds your art together.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Tear an old magazine page into pieces and glue the pieces into a new picture — tearing and pressing are both good hand work. One dot per piece keeps the sticky mess friendly; a "dot, dot, not a lot" chant keeps it that way.
Quick parent note
Glue teaches "just enough" — too little and nothing holds, too much and everything slides. That judgement call, made on paper at three, is the same one made at the craft table for years.
