Appointment Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+Getting ready
An appointment is the time you and the doctor agree on — the day your child’s check-up will happen, written on the calendar.

Say it together
“Appointment! A time to visit the doctor. Look — the calendar says TODAY. We get dressed, we take teddy, and off we go!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Circle the appointment on a real calendar and let your child cross off the days. A countdown turns a surprise into a plan — and plans are what calm little worries.
Quick parent note
Name the day and the who ("Tuesday, Dr. Ruiz") more than the why. Children handle check-ups well when the appointment is an ordinary, expected thing.
