Doctor Flashcard for Preschoolers

Ages 3+Meeting the helpers

The doctor is the helper whose whole job is keeping your child healthy — and who kneels down to say hello before anything else.

A Doctor Visit flashcard titled Doctor: the words "A doctor helps you feel better" over a doctor kneeling down to wave hello to a child holding a teddy bear.

Say it together

“Doctor! A doctor helps you feel better. She says hello, she asks teddy how he feels, and she takes gentle care of you.”

Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.

Try this

Read the doctor card, then the Class 33 community-helpers cards: the doctor at the clinic, the dentist in the chair — helpers everywhere. Name them all.

Quick parent note

Children read faces fast. A doctor who says hello at child height is already halfway to a successful check-up — and so is a child who expects the hello.
