Bowling Flashcard for Preschoolers
One heavy ball, ten white pins and a shiny wooden lane — bowling is the roll-straight-and-count sport, and everyone’s first birthday-party favourite.

Say it together
“Bowling is rolling the ball down the lane to knock over the pins — roll it slow along the floor… CRASH! How many fell down?”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Water-bottle pins at the end of the hallway, any mid-size ball: the rule is ROLL, never throw — one hand underneath, push the ball along the floor. Then count the fallen pins together. Rolling straight is the skill; the counting is the maths class hiding inside.
Quick parent note
Underneath-rolling is a genuine gross motor skill most sports never teach — and bowling is the only one where the pins do the cheering for you.
