Curling Flashcard for Preschoolers
A big polished stone, a sheet of ice and two friends sweeping like mad — curling is bowls on ice, the gentlest loud sport there is.

Say it together
“Curling is sliding a big smooth stone on the ice toward the rings — and your friends sweep the ice in front to make it go further! Sweep sweep sweep!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Kitchen curling: slide a plastic lid or a bean bag across the smooth floor toward a paper-plate target, and let the "sweepers" fan the floor in front of it with a tea towel. The sweeping genuinely helps — and that is the joke.
Quick parent note
Curling is the aiming card wearing a team jersey: the slide aims, but the sweepers decide how far. No other sport lets your friends change your throw after you let go.
