Skateboarding Flashcard for Preschoolers
A board with four small wheels and a pavement — skateboarding is standing sideways on a rolling board and making the street your playground.

Say it together
“Skateboarding is riding a board on little wheels — foot up front, push with the back foot, knees bent, and roll!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Balance practice first: stand on a board (or a cushion) on carpet, feet sideways, knees soft, arms out — hold the stance for five counts. Then one gentle push on a smooth, flat surface with helmet and pads on. Stance on carpet, roll on pavement.
Quick parent note
Sideways stance is what makes a skateboard feel strange at first — the body faces where the board is not going. The carpet-stance game fixes that fear before the wheels ever move.
