Skiing Flashcard for Preschoolers
Long boards on white snow and a mountain going down — skiing is pointing the tips together, bending the knees and letting the hill teach you.

Say it together
“Skiing is sliding down the snow on long boards! Tips together like a pizza slice to slow down… tips straight like french fries to go fast!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Snowplough practice in socks: slide one foot out till the heels nearly meet — the "pizza" wedge — then slide them parallel again, "french fries". Do it down a carpet slope holding your hands. The stop comes before the speed; that is the mountain’s rule.
Quick parent note
Pizza and french fries are what every ski school in the world calls the wedge and the parallel slide — and the fact that four-year-olds remember it forever says everything about naming a skill after lunch.
Teach it, step by step
