Rugby Flashcard for Preschoolers
An oval ball hugged in both arms and a wide green field — rugby is run forward, pass backward, fall down, get up, laugh.

Say it together
“In rugby we hold the ball with BOTH hands and run as fast as we can — but we can only pass it backwards to our friends!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Jog around the garden hugging a cushion "ball" in both arms, and on your call, pass it backwards over the shoulder to the runner behind. Forward-run, back-pass is the whole sport’s rhythm, played at four-year-old speed.
Quick parent note
The backwards pass feels upside-down at first — and that little brain-twister is exactly why children love it. Tag versions (rippa, touch) make it the friendliest running game on the card wall.
