American Football Flashcard for Preschoolers
The pointed brown ball that refuses to bounce straight — American football is run the play, throw long, and cross the line for a touchdown.

Say it together
“This is American football — the funny egg-shaped ball! We throw it far to a friend, or hug it tight and run to the end zone. Touchdown!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Two cushions one room apart are the end zones. Take turns: hug the ball and run the "field", or point your fingers and throw it across. The oval ball flies funny — that wobble is the joke, and catching it is the skill.
Quick parent note
Throwing an oval ball teaches the over-arm throw at its very best: fingers behind, arm over the top, step as you throw — the same pattern every ball sport borrows.
Teach it, step by step
