Water Polo Flashcard for Preschoolers
A team in the water, a ball in the air — water polo is soccer played while floating, with throws instead of kicks.

Say it together
“Water polo is throwing the ball into the goal while you float — legs kick underneath like an egg-beater, hands pass the ball to friends!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Practise the egg-beater sit: in the bath or shallow pool, sit upright and whirl the legs, arms sculling out to the sides. Then toss a soft ball to a partner — water polo passes are throws, one hand, aim at their chest.
Quick parent note
Treading water is the hidden swimming super-skill — hands busy with the ball, legs do all the floating. It is also one of the four things swim schools teach before strokes.
