Surfing Flashcard for Preschoolers
A board under the feet and the whole ocean pushing — surfing is standing up on moving water and riding it to the beach.

Say it together
“Surfing is standing on a board on the wave — paddle, paddle, POP UP! Knees bent, arms out, ride it all the way in!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Pop-up practice on the carpet: lie flat, hands under shoulders, jump the feet in and stand low in one hop — that is the surfer’s pop-up. Then balance on a cushion or a wobbly board, knees soft, arms wide. Pop up, stand tall, repeat.
Quick parent note
The pop-up is the whole sport in one move, and practising it on the floor is what real surf schools do first. Balance plus a dash of bravery — the ocean does the rest.
