Rowing Flashcard for Preschoolers
One long thin boat, everyone facing backwards, all oars pulling as one — rowing is the team sport where nobody sees the finish line coming.

Say it together
“Rowing is pulling the oars to move the boat — lean forward, pull back, glide! Everyone rows together, in the same rhythm: dip, pull, glide.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Sit on the floor facing a partner, hold a towel or stick between you and row: both lean forward, both pull back, counting "dip — pull — glide". In-time pulling is the actual skill of a crew — the boat only moves when everybody moves together.
Quick parent note
Rowing is the togetherness card: strength matters less than rhythm. It is also a rare pulling sport — most ball games push and throw, the boat teaches the pull.
