Pillow Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Sleepy time
The blue square that waits at the head of the bed — the pillow is where the tired head lands, and "pillow" is often one of the first sleep words a toddler says.

Say it together
“Pillow! The soft, squishy pillow. Lay your head down… boop! Cozy pillow. Close your eyes… mmm.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Play the pillow flop: stand by the bed, wobble like a sleepy robot, then flop the head onto the pillow with a huge sigh — "aaaaah, pillow." Do it with a teddy first, then the toddler. The sigh is the whole game; it practises the exact muscle relaxation bedtime needs.
Quick parent note
Naming the pillow gives bedtime one more friendly landmark. And the flop game is genuine wind-down training: the exaggerated sigh slows the breathing, which is the same trick grown-up sleep apps charge money for.
