Picture Book Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Play time
A book with a teddy bear on the cover — the picture book is the doorway to stories, and at this age reading means pointing, naming and hearing the same favourite a hundred happy times.

Say it together
“Picture book! Look at the bear on the cover. Open it up… point to the pictures. What is that? A dog! And that? A ball! Read it again!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Read with a finger: your child points at pictures and you name them — the same pointing-and-naming game as this whole set, but inside a book. Repetition is the point, not variety; the tenth read of the same book is when the child starts "reading" it to you from memory.
Quick parent note
Point-and-name reading builds vocabulary faster than any flashcard app, because the pictures carry the meaning and the adult carries the voice. The bear on this cover is a good reminder: the best first books put ONE friendly thing on the cover and mean it.
