Backpack Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 2+Classroom object
The bag that goes to school and comes home — the backpack holds everything a school day needs, and packing it is a child’s very first job.

Say it together
“Backpack! This is your backpack. Where does it go? On your back! What goes inside? Snack — in! Bottle — in! A picture you made — in! Zip, zip. Off we go!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Pack the real bag together tonight: one thing to eat, one thing to drink, one thing to show. Each item goes in with its name — "snack… in!" — and the zip click ends the ritual. Same time every evening, and packing becomes your child’s job, not yours.
Quick parent note
Packing a bag is sequencing: a plan, in order, finished. Children who pack their own bag walk into school a little taller, because the day starts with something they did all by themselves.
