Keep It Tidy Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 4+Good habit
A tidy desk with everything in its place — keeping it tidy means putting things back as you go, so the next thing always starts easy.

Say it together
“Keep it tidy! One paper out, one paper done, one paper away. The pencils sleep in the cup, the books stand on the shelf. A tidy desk says: ready for tomorrow!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
End each work session with the tidy look: crayons cupped, paper stacked, chair pushed in. Snap a photo of the tidy desk once a week — a tidy-spot gallery your child will be proud to grow.
Quick parent note
Tidy-as-you-go is a step up from big clean-ups: small resets, often. Children who keep a tidy spot feel ownership of their work — and finding yesterday’s page without a hunt is its own reward.
