Eraser Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 2+Classroom object
The navy and white eraser — the eraser teaches the quiet lesson every learner needs: marks can change, and trying again is part of the work.

Say it together
“Eraser! The rub-a-dub block. Oops went wrong? No tears — rub, rub, rub… and the paper is blank again! Try again. That is what the eraser is for.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Draw a wobbly line on purpose, hand over the eraser and let your child rub it out — the rubbing itself is excellent hand work. Then say the magic sentence together: "wrong lines are how right lines start."
Quick parent note
An eraser is resilience you can hold. Children who are allowed to erase are more willing to start — which matters far more than the line they first drew.
