Clean Up Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+Good habit
A boy returning books to the shelf — clean-up is how play ends well: every block, book and crayon goes home before the next game begins.

Say it together
“Clean up! The game is done — now the blocks go home. Block in the box… book on the shelf… crayons in the cup. Sing the clean-up song… look! The room is ready for tomorrow.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Clean up together the first hundred times — never alone. Make it a race against a song, sort by color as you go, and finish with a look-around: "who made this room lovely? YOU did." One basket per toy type makes the whole thing possible.
Quick parent note
Clean-up is sorting, matching and finishing, all in one — real maths wearing a chore’s clothes. Children who always clean up with a grown-up learn the routine without learning the dread.
