Raise Your Hand Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+Good habit
A boy with his arm stretched high — raising a hand is how a big idea gets a turn without talking over friends.

Say it together
“Raise your hand! Arm up high — like this! When your hand is up, the teacher sees: "this friend has something to say!" Wait for the nod… and now it is your turn to talk.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Practise at home at story time: anyone with a thought raises a hand and waits to be picked. Make the waiting short and the picking generous — "yes, you wanted to say something!" The habit sticks when turns come round honestly.
Quick parent note
Hand-raising is waiting made visible — and waiting is one of the hardest, most valuable skills of the whole early years. Every fair turn a child gets makes the next wait easier.
