Check-Up Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+The check-up
A check-up is the doctor looking and listening to make sure everything is growing the way it should — it is not a fix for anything being wrong.

Say it together
“Check-up! A check-up keeps you healthy. The doctor listens, looks and checks — and says "everything is growing just right!"”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Give the teddy a full check-up in order: ears, mouth, tummy, heart. Then swap — your child is the doctor, you are the patient who sits very still.
Quick parent note
The word itself matters: a check-UP, like a look-under-the-hood, not a repair. Children who hear "check" as "counting what is already good" sit easy.
