Stethoscope Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+The check-up
The stethoscope is the tool with the round listening end — the doctor wears it to hear the heart’s drum and the breath’s wind.

Say it together
“Stethoscope! A doctor listens to your heart. Boom-boom, boom-boom — that is YOUR heart, talking!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
A toy stethoscope (or a paper tube pressed to the chest) lets your child hear a real heartbeat — yours first, then teddy’s, then their own.
Quick parent note
The cold disc on the tummy startles nobody who has heard a heartbeat before. Play the listening game at home and the real thing becomes a treasure hunt: "there it is!"
