Thermometer Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+The check-up
The thermometer is the little stick that measures how warm the body is — a quick tick that tells the doctor important things.

Say it together
“Thermometer! It checks your temperature. Tick-tock, a little beep — all done! The doctor reads the number.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Check the temperature of everything: teddy (warm!), your child’s forehead, the bath water with the bath thermometer. Measuring is a game bodies love.
Quick parent note
The word is long and wonderful — practice saying it: ther-MOM-e-ter. A child who can say the tool’s name owns the tool a little.
