Taekwondo Flashcard for Preschoolers
The kicking martial art — taekwondo is fast feet: high kicks, quick hops and pads that go thwack.

Say it together
“Taekwondo is the kicking sport from Korea — front kick, side kick, roundhouse! Fast feet, strong legs, and we kick PADS, never people.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Pad-kick drill: a cushion held by the grown-up at knee height — front kick, kick, kick! Then a tiny hop and turn for the side kick. Ten kicks each leg, big count-out-loud. Kicking high asks for balance, which is why taekwondo legs are springy.
Quick parent note
Kicking trains balance on one leg better than almost any game — and the pad rule (pads, never people) is stated on every card and in every dojang in the world.
