Weightlifting Flashcard for Preschoolers
The strongest people in the Olympics bend and lift a heavy barbell clean overhead — weightlifting is the sport of strength, done slowly and safely.

Say it together
“Weightlifting is lifting heavy things with strong muscles and a straight back — bend the knees, hold tight, lift… UP! The strongest lifters in the world do this.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Soft-barbell lift: a pool noodle with two socks for plates — feet apart, bend the KNEES (not the back), hold wide, stand tall, press overhead, big cheer, lower slow. Five lifts, then re-stack the "plates". The knees-bend rule is the whole lesson — it is how weightlifters protect their backs forever.
Quick parent note
For four-year-olds this card is really about the safe-lifting pattern — bend the knees, straight back, hold close — the same rule they will use carrying school bags and grocery bags for the rest of their lives.
