Ball Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Play time
One round toy that has entertained every toddler ever born — the ball is usually the very first play word a child learns, because the game never changes: it rolls, you chase.

Say it together
“Ball! The ball rolls — round and round. Can you roll the ball? Roll it to me… now chase it, chase it!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Sit on the floor a stride apart and roll the ball back and forth. Rolling comes before throwing, and the taking-turns rhythm is the real lesson hiding inside the game. When rolling is boring, put the ball on a sofa cushion and push it off — gravity does the comedy every time.
Quick parent note
Balls are the cheapest vocabulary lesson there is: one word, one toy, endless reps. Soft balls first — a toddler who gets bonked by a hard ball learns to fear the game, not love it.
