Toy Train Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Play time
The green engine with the red trim and two little carriages — the toy train runs on rug tracks and toddler imagination, and every chuff-chuff is a chance to say the words with it.

Say it together
“Toy train! Choo choo! The train goes chuff chuff chuff… round the rug… under the table… STOP at the station. All aboard! Choo choo!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Lay a figure-eight track or just run the train round the rug, and build the journey with words — over the cushion mountain, through the chair tunnel, stop at the station. Take turns being the driver. The toddler adds the choo-choo; you add the stops; the story grows one lap at a time.
Quick parent note
Trains carry two of a toddler’s favourite things at once: wheels that go and a line that connects — engine, carriage, carriage. That connecting idea (and the stop-and-go words) make the toy train a vocabulary engine that keeps pulling new words behind it.
