Blanket Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Sleepy time
Soft, folded and always near the crib — the blanket is the word that tells a toddler sleep is on the way, and knowing what comes next is what keeps bedtime calm.

Say it together
“Blanket! The soft, cozy blanket. We tuck the blanket in… cozy cozy. Night-night, blanket.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Play the blanket game while everyone is awake and happy: cover a teddy with the blanket — "night-night, teddy!" — then lift it — "good morning, teddy!" The toddler practises the word with a smile instead of at bedtime, and the blanket stops being a signal to fight and becomes a friend.
Quick parent note
Words that predict routines are tantrum insurance. Say "blanket" at the same moment you fetch it every night and the word itself becomes the wind-down — the card at the door, the calm that follows.
