Building Blocks Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 2–3Play time
Red, yellow, green and blue — building blocks are the toddler engineering kit, and the curriculum is simple: stack it high, then knock it down with maximum drama.

Say it together
“Building blocks! Stack them up — one, two, three… up, up, UP! And… CRASH! Knock them down. Build it again!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Take turns adding one block to the tower — your block, their block — counting each as it lands. The turn-taking matters as much as the stacking. Then let the crash be GLORIOUS: the demolition is the reward, and blocks that are allowed to fall get built higher every time.
Quick parent note
Stacking is grip strength, hand-eye control and early maths wearing a game costume. And the crash is not misbehaviour — cause and effect is the most exciting physics lesson on Earth at age two.
