Changing Table Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 2–3Care time
The flat spot where diaper changes happen — the changing table is a routine in furniture form, and naming it helps a toddler know exactly what is coming next.

Say it together
“Changing table! Up we go — lie down, little one. Time for a fresh diaper, then we play. All clean!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Say the word as you lift the child up and as you lay them down — the same words, every change. Toddlers fight surprises, not diaper changes. Then ask them to "hold the diaper" and hand it over: one small job turns a passive wrestle into an active job.
Quick parent note
A named routine is a calmer routine. The card also survives the transition: when the potty takes over, the changing table card retires gracefully — a little milestone marker in cardboard form.
