Diaper Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Care time
The white taped thing that gets changed a dozen times a day — the diaper is the most-practised routine word in the room, and saying it out loud turns a surprise into a schedule.

Say it together
“Diaper! Time for a fresh diaper. Lie down, one, two… all clean! Fresh diaper, happy baby.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Narrate the change with the same short script every time — "lie down… fresh diaper… all clean!" — and hand the toddler one job: carrying the diaper to the bin, peeling the tabs, choosing front or back. One job per change keeps small hands busy and big protests small.
Quick parent note
Routine words are cooperation tools. The same card later moonlights as potty-training support: "diapers are for babies; the potty is for you" lands softer when the diaper has been a named, familiar friend for a year.
