High Chair Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 1+Mealtime
The tall chair with the tray — the high chair is where meals happen, and naming it on the walk to the kitchen turns "come and sit down" into "high chair time", which toddlers accept far better.

Say it together
“High chair! Climb up into the high chair — up you go! The tray clicks on… time to eat. Yum yum yum.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Say the word at the same moment every meal — "high chair!" — then let the toddler climb up with a hand’s help. Give the tray one job before the food arrives: bang the spoon, put the cup in its spot. A named seat with a small ritual is a seat toddlers climb into without a wrangle.
Quick parent note
Mealtime battles often start before the food lands — at the climbing-in stage. The word "high chair" said cheerfully at the same point daily builds a routine the body just follows, and the card makes the word itself a fun thing to find.
