Stroller Flashcard for Toddlers
Ages 2–3Around the room
The blue pushchair waiting by the door — the stroller is the toddler’s own vehicle, and naming it turns the pre-walk buckle wrestle into a known routine.

Say it together
“Stroller! Climb into the stroller — up you go! Click the buckle… click! Wheels go round and round. Off we go!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Let the toddler climb in themselves (with a hand nearby) and do the buckle’s final click — one more small job that buys cooperation. Then hand them THEIR stroller for the dolls: pushing a teddy around the room is how toddlers rehearse both driving and being driven.
Quick parent note
The stroller word belongs to a routine with friction in it — leaving the park is where strollers earn their tears. A named climb-in-click ritual gives the goodbye a script, and toddlers follow scripts far better than they follow "five more minutes."
