Pump Truck, Water Truck, Lowboy & Batching Plant Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 4–5Construction
The support fleet: the concrete pump truck sends concrete through a long folded arm like a straw, the water truck sprinkles the dust flat, the lowboy trailer carries the giant machines to site and the batching plant mixes concrete on the spot.

Say it together
“Pump truck! Water truck! Lowboy! Batching plant! The pump truck pours concrete through its long arm — slurp, like a giant straw! The water truck sprays the dust — sprinkle sprinkle. The lowboy carries the BIG machines on its flat back, and the batching plant mixes the concrete right there on the spot!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Straw engineering: sip a drink through a long bendy straw — that is the pump truck’s whole trick, moving liquid concrete along a folding arm. Then the sprinkle test: a spray bottle "water truck" tames the dusty dirt in the sandbox. Every hero machine needs a support crew — this is theirs.
Quick parent note
The pump truck’s folding arm can reach the middle of a building from the street — concrete delivered like juice through a straw. And the lowboy answers a spotting question kids ask on the highway: why is that truck so FLAT and low? So the giants can climb on.
