School Gardener Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+People who help
A school gardener is the person who tends the school plants — watering, planting seeds and showing children how a seed turns into something to eat.

Say it together
“School gardener! Watering can — sprinkle, sprinkle! Seeds drink water, sunshine does the rest, and one day — a tomato! A carrot! A bean!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Adopt one plant — a bean in a cup on the windowsill works. Your child waters it, checks it, maybe measures it with a crayon. Watching a seed wake up is the longest, best yes in childhood.
Quick parent note
Gardens teach waiting, which is a hard skill at three. A gardener-tended plant gives your child daily proof that small, boring care — water, water, water — becomes something amazing.
