Principal Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+People who keep us safe
A principal is the person who leads the school — the one who makes sure the classrooms, the teachers and the playground all run well, and whose office door is open.

Say it together
“The principal! The friendly boss of the whole school. If something is wonderful — or something is wrong — the principal’s door is open. Come in!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Wave-at-the-principal week: at every pickup, one friendly wave or hello by name. A principal who is a known, smiling person stops being The Scary Office forever.
Quick parent note
Children sometimes hear "principal’s office" as a scary place. Flip it: the principal is the school’s biggest problem-solver, and the office is where good ideas and good hellos happen.
