Security Guard Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+People who keep us safe
A security guard is the person who watches the school’s doors and gates — who comes in, who goes out — so everyone inside stays safe.

Say it together
“Security guard! He watches the gate and the doors — careful and kind. Only the right people come in. That is how we all stay safe!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Gatekeeper game: one child (or a teddy) is the guard at a doorway with a list of who may pass — "bears, yes; dinosaurs, hmm, show me your ticket!" Being the gatekeeper builds understanding instead of fear.
Quick parent note
Security work can feel invisible or scary. The card makes the guard a person with a job: watch, check, welcome the right people. That framing lets a child feel watched-over instead of watched.
