Student Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 3+People who teach
A student is someone who learns at school — and on this card, that is your child. The whole school is really there for the students.

Say it together
“A student! That is ME! I sit at my desk, I listen, I try, I learn. The school is full of helpers — and they are all there for me.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Play "first day of school" with the card: backpack on, walk to the door, wave goodbye, big hello when you come back. Practicing the day-in, day-out rhythm makes the real one feel known.
Quick parent note
Being a student is your child’s actual job — maybe their first one. Asking "what did you DO today?" asks about their work; asked warmly, that question builds a student’s pride.
