Blender Flashcard for Preschoolers
Ages 6+Sharp — careful
The white machine with the tall jug — the blender whirs fruit into smoothies in twenty seconds, and it hides the sharpest blades in the kitchen at the bottom of that jug. Loud, fast, grown-up.

Say it together
“Blender! The whirring machine. Fruit and milk go in the jug… lid on TIGHT… press the button — WHIRRR! Everything spins into a smoothie. The blades inside are SHARP — grown-ups handle the jug. We listen, we watch, we drink the smoothie!”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Name it and run the ritual from a safe step away: fruit in (by you both), lid on tight (the grown-up’s click), button pressed by the grown-up — and your child is the smoothie announcer: "WHIRRR! It’s spinning!" Pour, drink, declare it the best smoothie yet. The blades stay a fact, not a fear: sharp things, grown-up hands, lid always on.
Quick parent note
The blender’s blade lesson matters because its danger is invisible — hidden under the jug, spinning too fast to see. "Lid on, blades are grown-ups’" said cheerfully at every smoothie builds the rule where it counts. And a child who helped make the smoothie has never once refused to drink it.
